Two community ports run the PS4 Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection natively on Windows, and two general-purpose emulators are often suggested instead. This page compares them on what their own projects state; port facts are from the READMEs and release notes checked November 8, 2026.

They started a day apart in October 2026 and solve the same problems, so they borrow from each other under the GPL: BilalReloaded’s temporal anti-aliasing takes the camera from SuperMedo’s port, and its 0.3.1 shadow, anti-aliasing and Steam Deck graphics fixes were ported from it. SuperMedo’s 0.3.9 brought BilalReloaded’s Uncharted 3 cloth fix (Sully’s shirt), the memory change behind “Error 1450” and the look-at reset; 0.3.14’s job guard for 1.02 games follows BilalReloaded’s port. SuperMedo’s releases also gather fixes from community forks (drakolordx7, Mevlock).

Which one to choose

  • Fast desktop GPU, high-refresh monitor: SuperMedo, for frame generation, Reflex / Anti-Lag 2 and real ultrawide rendering.
  • Laptop, integrated graphics or a 2–4 GB card: BilalReloaded, for the Low / iGPU presets and Save video memory.
  • Steam Deck: BilalReloaded has dedicated Deck fixes; both run through Proton.
  • Old CPU (Sandy Bridge, i7-2600 class): BilalReloaded 0.8.0+; SuperMedo starts at Ivy Bridge.
  • A crash in one chapter: try the other port on the same game folder.

Why not just emulate?

RPCS3 plays the PS3 originals, not this remastered PS4 collection, and needs a strong CPU to emulate the Cell. shadPS4 targets PS4 games in general; both ports use its video core but add patches specific to these three games, such as the render-resolution rewrite and the compute-shader fixes for GeForce and Intel GPUs. If you already use either emulator, nothing here replaces it; the ports are simply the most direct way to play this collection on a PC today.

Frequently asked questions

BilalReloaded or SuperMedo: which Uncharted PC port is better?

Neither is better everywhere. SuperMedo’s port (2,239 stars, 181,040 downloads) has more users, frame generation, Reflex / Anti-Lag 2 and render resolutions up to 3200x1800. BilalReloaded’s (776 stars, 81,766 downloads) has per-game presets for weak PCs, Save video memory for 2–4 GB cards, Steam Deck fixes and measured performance tables in every release. They share fixes, so keep both and use the one that runs your problem chapter.

Can I play Uncharted 1, 2 and 3 with RPCS3 instead?

RPCS3 is a PlayStation 3 emulator. It runs the original PS3 releases of the three games, which are different editions from the PS4 collection these ports use, and it emulates the PS3’s Cell processor, which is far more demanding than running the PS4 code directly.

What about shadPS4?

shadPS4 is the open-source PS4 emulator whose Vulkan video core both ports build on; SuperMedo credits a shadPS4 Uncharted build by Mindro for showing which problems to look for. shadPS4 is general-purpose; the ports add game-specific patches, fixes and launchers for these three games.

Can I use the same game folder for both ports?

Yes. Both point at the same PS4 game folder and keep their own saves, settings and shader cache in their own folder, so you can install both side by side.

Can I move my saves between the two ports?

Neither author documents a save transfer between the ports, and PS4 save import is an open request (BilalReloaded #370). Treat saves as separate.
